Son's College Graduation Weekend in Seattle and Everett, WA










SPU Graduation ๐Ÿ‘จ‍๐ŸŽ“ . It was an emotional moment when they recognized 2 classmates who passed away. Paul Lee, who died in the school shooting sophomore year and a female student who passed away recently in a car accident while coming home from the South Dakota oil pipeline protests.

UW Campus Tour


So glad to visit my (Vicki's) brother and sister-in-law in Everett, WA, esp now that he's recently retired. Here are some pics of their gardens. I like their improvised planters...with the basketball ๐Ÿ€ goal and bbq grill!

Book Club Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane

Enjoyed NASCC (spouse club) book club last night. We discussed Lisa See’s The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane while sampling authentic pu-erh tea from the exact remote region of China where the book is set (thanks to Bana Tea’s book club tasting guide). It’s interesting, the author’s friend owns the Bana tea company and it is located on Colima Rd, just down the hill from my sister’s family and near Ben’s aunt and uncle in Hacienda Heights, CA. I’ll have to check it out the next time I’m there...I attempted to make sticky rice in the rice cooker (and turn them into rice balls to make it finger food) and also a marinated olive and cheese plate.
